SPECIAL EVENT
In Praise of the Mystical Light
Please join us Wednesday Evening, April 29th at 7:00 PM for a special presentation, “In Praise of the Mystical Light,” by Worshipful Brother Merrick Rees Hamer.

The lecture, or rather oration as a formal presentation, will pursue the subject of Light as it has been understood by a Judeo-Christian perspective, from the beginning of creation through the mission of Christ and as it manifested in the ancient mysteries.

In 2007, Brother Hamer presented this topic to an international conclave of the Fraternity of Hidden Light, when he was invited to speak at that event, hosted by Worshipful Brother Paul Clark (a Past Master of Chino Valley Lodge, No. 247, F. & A.M.), who is the Steward of Fraternitas L.V.X. Occulta. Subsequently his work was published by Newman University in a journal entitled Archaeopteryx.

The journal, edited by Freemason and Poet Laureate, Bryan D. Dietrich, also features works of two other members of Culver City-Foshay Lodge, No. 467, F. &A.M., Worshipful Brother, Professor Curtis Shumaker, PM, and Film maker, Christopher Coppola.

Brother Hamer recently presented this lecture (in the form of an oration) to the brethren and friends of South Pasadena Lodge. It drew a large audience. His presentation on April 29th will make it available to Freemasons on the west side.

There is no cost to attend it and it will be open to Masons of all degrees and their families and friends. (Suggested dress for this event, suit and tie.)
